Communications Analyst

Ellos Global (E|G) is looking to fill an opening for a Communications Analyst.  The candidate must be a highly motivated, detailed, results-driven individual, who works collaboratively with staff of all levels throughout the organization. This person should be a creative and outside of the box strategic thinker, a team player who can cooperatively and enthusiastically switch between responsibilities at times in a moment’s notice.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage communication initiatives and roadmaps for divisional communications office.

  • Provide strategic guidance and leverage design thinking to create and implement innovative and transformational communications solutions.

  • Design and implement digital media campaigns to meet the business goals and objectives.

  • Coordinate the creation of digital content such as website, blogs, press releases, infographics, etc.

  • Serve as point of contact for day-to-day client communications requests, including drafting memos, newsletters, talking points, bios, and other relevant artifacts.

  • Use metrics and analytics to measure and adapt strategy, and reporting data and learning.

  • Conduct regular engagements with federal clients to identify pain points, communications needs, creative opportunities, and creative solutions to drive organizational change.

  • Provide quality assurance on all communications developed by communications staff.

  • Manage, coordinate and execute logistics and content for leadership meeting(s).

  • Facilitate and support leadership meetings; follow up on action items and provide meeting minutes.

  • Experience working in crisis mode to include narrative shifting and rapid response.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; proactive in approach to deliverables and client requests.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, and leading multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.

  • Experience designing and developing a variety of content for both print and digital formats.

  • Self-starter, motivated, confident and has ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and client focused skills— interacts well with all levels of staff and partners with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

  • Expert-level proficiency in grammar, plain language, and identifying appropriate communication styles (based on audience).

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Experience facilitating creative branding sessions.

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff.

  • Demonstrates proactive approaches to problem solving with strong decision-making capability.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.

  • Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or closely related field, or related experience or training that can be substituted for education.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience writing press releases.

  • Prior Federal Government experience; specifically, with Department of Homeland Security.

  • SharePoint Experience.

 

MUST be a US Citizen, eligible to obtain security clearance; current DHS suitability preferred.

Education:  

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Communications, Public Affairs or related field; and 7 plus years of related experience. ​
